This annual event is a community favourite, jam packed with a plethora of guest speakers, raffles, and auctions with an underlying footy theme, hosted at the Moonee Ponds Club.
A brand-new event for our community, the SBC Foundation is launching the SBC Foundation Racing Lunch.
With so many of our Old Collegians professionally involved in the racing industry, and many more who enjoy racing in general, we think it's time for a racing themed event, hosted at the Moonee Ponds Club, another fantastic opportunity to connect with other Old Collegians.
Runners from St Bernard's & St Columba's joined forces today for the 42nd annual Marby 150 Charity Run
Originally the Bendigo 150, in which runners would start at the town hall in Bendigo and run back to the College, the event is now hosted at the Maribyrnong river where runners collectively complete the 150km trek to honour the original event.
Battling some of the harshest conditions the event has ever seen, all involved dug deep, determined to ensure they met the target - a titanic effort!
This year money raised is being donated to Edmund Rice Catholic Education Centre. (formerly Brother Beausang Catholic Education Centre) in Embulbul, and the Ruben Centre in Nairobi Kenya.
Well done to all involved!
We are looking forward to hosting an upcoming event in conjunction with the Clontarf Foundation
The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and by doing so equips them to participate more meaningfully in society.
Clontarf is in need of highly motivated individuals to join them on this journey, as social justice holds a high place at SBC, we think our Old Collegians would be well suited for this opportunity.
This will be a fantastic chance to hear about a career path that makes real positive differences in the lives of young people.
With round 24 of the AFL season done and dusted, we now crown our 2023 SBOCA Footy tipping champions
With some of the most surprising results through-out the 24 rounds, it all came down to less than 6 points total across our top 10
Congratulations to our 2023 SBOCA Tipping Champion - Bronzewing, claiming a $300 cash prize!
Bairdy_16 snags our runner up spot and Princesskhill in 3rd
Thank-you to all those who participated - as always, we will keep the competition open throughout finals for people to play on for fun, and we hope to see many of you back for the 2024 season.
We've added an update personal details page to our website to make it easy for Old Collegians to provide updated contact details to the College. Ensuring your contact details are up to date with the College is essential to continue to receive our publications and invitations to Old Collegian events, such as the Reunions.
We are always on the look out to highlight the achievements & successes our Old Collegians have attained. If you have a story to share, or any feedback to provide regarding what type of content you like seeing in Bernie's 2 Minute Fridays please let us know!
