The St Bernard’s College Foundation was established in 2003 and has provided the structure for the organisation and administration of additional financial support to the College.
St Bernard’s College has grown and built a strong community and a reputation for its commitment to ongoing improvement and excellence. In the process, generations of young men have achieved personal success within a Catholic culture.
Our College’s determination to create the best available Learning Institution for boys is certainly a high priority. Since 2008 through the generous support of the St Bernard’s College community, the Foundation has been able to provide over $700,000 in bursaries and scholarships, as well as having assisted with the provision of the state of the art buildings and facilities.
All this has been made possible through the outstanding generosity of past generations, a combination of Catholic families and the dedication of the Christian Brothers. The need today is equally as great.

This year the St Bernard’s College Foundation has the great pleasure of announcing the establishment of the Mark Rose Indigenous Scholarship.
The scholarship which will be awarded for the first time in 2023 and is the College’s desire to create a learning environment that values Indigenous culture and promotes a sense of belonging for Indigenous students in our School.
We are proud to have chosen to name the Scholarship after one of our much respected Old Collegians in Professor Mark Rose (SBOC 73) who is Deakin University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Strategy and Innovation.
Mark Rose is traditionally linked to the Gunditjmara Nation of western Victoria. With a long career in education Mark has contributed to a broad range of educational settings within the State, nationally and internationally. The inclusion of Aboriginal knowledge and history in the national curriculum has become his life’s work.

If you are interested in remembering the College in your will, the Foundation can assist you with the appropriate documentation required. Our Endowment Fund assists in providing for the education of boys who for all sorts of reasons would otherwise not be able to afford a St Bernard's College education. If you have queries in this regard we recommend that you speak to your solicitor or contact the College's Development Department.
